NEW OLD STOCK: Anheuser-Busch had reason to celebrate when, late in the 19th century, it became the first American brewer to pasteurize its beer. Not only did the pasteurization process greatly extend the life of the company's products, it also made bottling a practical method of packaging and distributing. To commemorate this innovation, Anheuser-Busch in 1907 commissioned the Mirror of Truth, a lithograph of virtuous maiden who shines a mirror on two Budweiser bottles. With great detail and accuracy, this lithograph recalls the fine craftsmanship that went into these early bottles, a reflection on the purity and health of Budweiser products inside of them. The front depicts the intricacies of the familiar Budweiser label. Look carefully on the bottom of the bottle and you can catch a glimpse of the embossing used to emphasize the clarity and purity of the product. 6.5" lidded stein was made by Ceramarte of Brazil.
